Another 23 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
The Department of Government Information said Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 related death toll increased to 15,595.
11 males and 12 females were among the victims. Eight males were over 60 years of age while two were between the ages of 30 and 59.
One of the male victims was below 30 years.
Of the female victims, 10 were over 60 years, while two were between 30 and 59 years.
