Three suspects who had attempted to sell an ancient Buddha statue have been arrested.
The statue, which is from a treasure, weighs 22 kilograms and the suspects had attempted to sell it at Rs. 06 million.
The suspects, aged 40,43 and 45 are residents of Mihintale and Kahatagasdigiliya were arrested by the Crime Division of Anuradhapura.
They are to be produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate Court today (10).
