The government is reportedly planning to make several changes at the upcoming cabinet reshuffle, reports say.
The weekend publication – ‘Deshaya’ reports that subjects of around 06 cabinet ministries, namely Foreign Affairs, Education, Industry, Energy, Transport and Housing, are to take place.
Although it has also been suggested to make two more changes, this suggestion currently remains undecided, with all decisions being taken under the steering of Basil Rajapaksa, the ‘Deshaya’ further notes.
It has also been suggested to fill 02 Cabinet ministerial portfolios and 01 state ministerial portfolio at this reshuffle.
This reshuffle will take place under the government’s new political reforms, it adds.
However, the most powerful ministeries remain with the Rajapaksas.
