Kilinochchi Acting DIG Samudrajeewa has been removed from his post by the IGP from yesterday (11).
It is said that the reason for this is that the Public Service Commission had not approved the acting DIG post given to him.
However, it is reported that Samudrajeewa has been serving as an acting DIG for nearly six months.
It is said that the reason for Samudrajeewa’s acting DIG post not being approved is that an investigation is being carried out on him by the CID.
Samudrajeewa has been suspected of being involved in a crime that took place in Anuradhapura, according to investigations.
