Affidavits by 3 ministers on Yugadanavi pact, unconstitutional – AG

The Attorney General today (17) informed the Supreme Court that affidavits filed by three ministers with regard to the Fundamental Rights (FR) petitions challenging the Yugadanavi Power Plant agreement are unconstitutional.

Five petitions seeking annulment of the agreement to transfer 40% of the government-owned Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi thermal power plant to an American company and

Ministers Vasudewa Nanayakkara, Wimal Weerawansa had filed their written submissions in the Supreme Court in support of these petitions.
