Fast bowler Binura Fernando has tested positive for Covid-19 in Australia.
Fernando performed excellently at the T20 against Australia with bowling figures of 2-12 in 4 overs.
Fernando has been tested positive in an antigen test conducted and a PCR test result is awaited.
Earlier, batsman Kusal Mendis tested positive for Covid-19 after the Sri Lanka team landed in Australia.
Fernando had tested positive last month as well along with Chamika Karunaratne, head of Sri Lanka’s tour of West Indies.
Sri Lanka and Australia will play the 2nd T20I on Sunday.
