Chairmen have been elected for the Committee of Selection to serve in the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) and Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) for the Second Session of the ninth Parliament.
Accordingly, MP Charitha Heratha and MP Prof. Tissa Vitarana have been re-elected as the Chairman of COPE and COPA respectively.
They served as chairmen of these committees during the first session of the ninth Parliament.
The COPE and COPA members were recently appointed by the Committee of Selection in accordance with Parliament Standing Orders 120 (1) and 119 (1) respectively.
