It is reported that both parties involved in the Yugadhanavi pact are bound by conditions that will prevent them from disclosing details of the pact for a period of two years since the day the agreement was signed.
The agreement regarding the sale of a 40% stake of the Yugadanavi Power Plant to the US company New Fortress, has sparked much controversy of late.
Reports say that a clause in the agreement states that both parties cannot disclose details of the pact from Sep. 17, 2021 – Sep. 17, 2023.
When opposition MPs requested to disclose the contents or the pact itself to parliament, Minister of Power – Gamini Lokuge had said that the pact will be tabled to parliament in a month’s time. However, it is yet to be tabled in parliament.
