The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has decided to provide a discount for migrant workers who are willing to purchase houses from UDA housing projects, using dollars.
The proposal to provide a 10% discount has received the approval of the UDA management, reports say.
The measure is taken to encourage a higher inflow of dollars into the country, reports add.
Such migrant workers are able to purchase houses from middle-income level housing projects of the UDA.
The 608-unit Oval View project in Borella and the 500-unit Angoda Lake Rest project are 02 such completed projects. 12 similar projects are underway.
