Public Health Inspectors’ Union President – Upul Rohana has urged public not to leave their homes unless for a reason of utmost urgency.
If not, the 10-day period of quarantine curfew will go to waste, he points out.
He also urges the public not to misuse the permission granted for essential services while requesting heads at offices only to summon employees who are absolutely necessary.
Another 424 arrested
Meanwhile, police say that 452 persons have been arrested in the last 24 hours for flouting quarantine regulations.
So far, the total number arrested in this manner is 56,294. Out of them, over 53,000 have been sued.
