Five year no-paid leave for govt. employees

The Cabinet has approved a proposal presented by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena as the Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs to provide leave without pay to public sector employees who are entitled to pensions.

Earlier, a committee consisting of senior officials was appointed to make recommendations regarding granting leave locally to public sector employees who are entitled to pensions subject to a maximum of five years without compromising their seniority.
