The Government will give an incentive of Rs 12,500 per hectare, not exceeding 2 hectares, to meet the demand for organic fertiliser for paddy growing in Maha Season 2021/2022. This decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting to promote farmers who manufacture and use organic fertiliser for their own crops.
For the Maha Season 2021/2022, about 800,000 hectares of rice cultivation have been set aside. Therefore, appropriate actions have already been taken to direct farmers to create highquality organic fertiliser, primarily under the direction of the Department of Agrarian Development, as well as to expand the volume of organic fertiliser produced by licenced producers.
