The production of powdered milk and packaged liquid milk has declined sharply due to the reduction in the supply of liquid milk by dairy farmers, according to Milco.
Although about 400,000 liters of liquid milk is required daily, it is reported that only 130,000 liters are available at present.
The current dry weather is also said to have contributed to the decline in milk production.
