As Sri Lanka is set to re-open tomorrow (01) from a 06 week lockdown, the Ministry of Health has issued relaxed health guidelines for October 2021.
Restrictions will be in motion while certain restrictions will be further relaxed from Oct. 16.
The guidelines note that interprovincial travel restrictions are to continue with exemptions for essential activities.
It also adds that non-essential travel will not be permitted daily from 10.00 pm – 4.00 am. Civilians are only allowed to leave home for employment purposes, to obtain healthcare and other essential services such as groceries and medicine.
On public transport, passengers can only be carried in seating capacity, and air-conditioned vehicles should not be used and windows should be left open.
