New PCR testing protocol for arrivals

The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has announced that fully vaccinated individuals who are arriving from countries that are not in the banned list, will not be required to undergo a PCR tests after seven days, if they test negative for COVID-19 upon their arrival.

The directive will be in effect from tomorrow.

The CAA said the decision was taken based on the advice of the Director General of Health Services.

Meanwhile, the travel ban imposed on arrivals from Vietnam has been lifted.
