The Petroleum Dealers Association (PDA) said that from today (01), fuel will not be issued to those who come to the gas stations without a face mask.
Its joint secretary Kapila Naotunna said that the risk of COVID-19 is rising again in the country, and therefore, all gas stations have been informed about this decision.
He said that notices had been posted at all fuel station informing the public that fuel would not be issued to them unless they are wearing a mask.
“People have completely disregarded the health guidelines. We strongly advise the public to maintain social distancing at fuel queues,” Naotunna said.
