PM hands over medical equipment donated by Muslim Aid Sri Lanka to Debarawewa and Walasmulla Base Hospitals

July 19, Colombo: Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa today (19) handed over a stock of medical equipment worth millions of rupees donated by the Muslim Aid Sri Lanka organization to the Debarawewa and Walasmulla Base Hospitals.
This stock of equipment was donated with the participation of Minister Namal Rajapaksa under the program to distribute medical equipment to hospitals in the Hambantota District.
Medical Superintendent of Debarawewa Base Hospital Wasantha Wijeweera and Pharmacist MMC Gayan representing the Medical Authority of Walasmulla Base Hospital symbolically received the stock of medical equipment from the Prime Minister.
Muslim Aid Sri Lanka recently handed over Rs. 30 million worth of medical equipment to the Prime Minister. Part of the medical equipment has been donated to Debarawewa and Walasmulla Hospitals.
The donation of medical equipment included ventilators for adults and children, oxygen therapy equipment, and PPE kits.
Minister of Youth and Sports, State Minister of Digital Technology and Enterprise Development Namal Rajapaksa, State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Roshan Ranasinghe were also present on the occasion.
