Power Minister discusses restructuring of CEB and CPC with World Bank

Sept 10, Colombo: Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said he met with the World Bank Country Manager at the Power Ministry to obtain necessary technical and financial support for the restructuring program of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
Minister Wijesekera said that he discussed renewable energy projects and the needs of the energy sector with the representatives of the World Bank.
World Bank technical experts on Energy sector have joined online and discussed the proposed reform plans of CEB and CPC, technical and financial assistance for development, Renewable energy, and transformation of the Energy sector, the Minister said.
