Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa made a request in Parliament today (06) to present the staff level agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the Parliament.
The Opposition Leader requested that the agreement be presented to the parliament for tabling, since finances are under the total control of Parliament.
Mr. Premadasa said, “Please table the staff level agreement reached with the IMF in Parliament. Then everyone including us will be able to gain some understanding of the content of the agreement. Also, we will be able to give our opinion on the most progressive measures for the country after studying the agreement.”
