A pro-government protest march commenced from the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa theatre today (12) morning with the participation of Buddhist monks.
In addition to Buddhist monks, pro-government social media activists such as Iraj Weeraratne were also spotted at the venue.
The move to pull out the ‘Sinhala-Buddhist’ card while the youth from all masses of the country are in a protest demonstration, has been widely condemned on social media.
Meanwhile, a video of a junior monk saying that they too are sad but are compelled to do what their chief monk says, is also making rounds on social media.
