Seven Senior DIGs and a DIG have been transferred with immediate effect.
The Police Headquarters stated that Senior DIG Ajith Rohana is also among the officers transferred.

The Police Headquarters also said the DIG in charge of the North Central Province, Nandana Munasinghe was transferred as the Senior DIG of Administration and Senior DIG L. S. Pathinayaka was appointed as the Senior DIG in charge of the Community Police.
Senior DIG K. Jayalath was appointed as the Senior DIG in charge of the Northern Province.
Senior DIG R. L. Kodithuwakku was appointed the Senior DIG in charge of the Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces while Senior DIG P. P. S. M. Dharmaratne was appointed as the Senior DIG in charge of the North West and North Central Provinces.
Senior DIG M. D. R. L. Duminda was appointed as the Senior DIG of the Southern Province and DIG G. A. N. L. Wijesena was appointed as the DIG of the Anuradhapura district.
