Proposals to restructure the CEB to the cabinet before end of September

Sept 04, Colombo: Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said that the proposals related to the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) are expected to be submitted to the cabinet for approval by the end of this month.
The Minister Sunday held discussions with the members of the committee appointed to provide proposals and programs for the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board.
The CEB reforms committee has met with development agencies, sector experts, stakeholders and will meet political parties and the electricity regulator Public Utility Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) next week, the Minister said.
The main framework will be presented to the cabinet of minister by the end of the month.
