Rapper Shiraz Shiraz, who joined the protest at the Galle Face ground in Colombo demanding the resignation of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the government has died at the scene.
He had sung a song at the protest venue and had collapsed moments later. He was pronounced dead upon admission to hospital.
It is revealed that the cause of his death was a heart attack.
Meanwhile, the protesters are continuing their protest campaign for the fourth day today.
