5-year old Rayan from Morocco, who was trapped in a deep well for more than 4 days, has died.
The child had fallen into a 104 -feet deep tube well in a remote village in Northern Morocco last Tuesday.
Rescue efforts by Moroccan emergency teams failed early this morning, as they reached the child by excavating parallel to the tube well, which took several days .
Rayan’s plight received extensive social media coverage and large crowds were gathered at the location to view the process.
