Remains of Sri Lankan professional killed in Pakistan arrives in the island

Dec 06, Colombo: The remains of Diyawadanage Don Priyantha Kumar killed by a mob in Sialkot Pakistan over alleged blasphemy was brought back to Sri Lanka on Monday.

The remains of the factory manager who was lynched by a mob was transferred from Lahore to Colombo by SriLankan Airlines this afternoon.

SriLankan Airlines confirmed that the UL 186 aircraft carrying the remains of Priyantha Kumara, who was killed in Pakistan, arrived at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5.00 pm today (06).

Acting High Commissoner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka Tanvir Ahmad Bhatti and Community Welfare Attaché & Press Secretary Kalsoom Jilani with the grieving family of the deceased received the mortal remains of Priyantha Diyawadana at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
