A number of ministers from the Ruling Party Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) were seen striking at Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Secretary General State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara for criticising Basil Rajapaksa yesterday (04).
Jayasekara was of the opinion that the current Board of Ministers was appointed in a rather humourous manner by Basil Rajapaksa and President’s Secretary P.B Jayasundara and he was inconvenienced upon his ministry as a result of this. The coming of Basil in Parliament, therefore, will not be making any difference, he added.
Ministers Johnston Fernando, Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Janaka Wakkumbura of the SLPP were seen verbally attacking Jayasekara over his comments.
