It is reported that ‘Sathosa’ has reduced the prices of several essential commodities as follows :
1 kilo of White Raw rice : From Rs. 195 – Rs.185
1 kilo of White Nadu : From Rs. 198 – Rs. 194
1 kilo of Red Lentils : From Rs. 460 – Rs. 429
1 kilo of White Sugar : From Rs. 298 – Rs. 279
1 kilo of Sprats : From Rs. 1375 – Rs. 1350
Meanwhile, Sathosa Chairman Mr. Pasada Yapa Abeywardena said that the price of a kilo of garlic has been reduced to Rs. 595 from Rs. 750 while the price of a kilo of Watana lentils has been reduced to Rs. 315 from Rs. 375.
