UK advertising observers have reportedly banned seven ads related to cryptocurrencies.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) says crypto investments like Bitcoin are a ‘red signal priority’, but many advertisements for it fail to fully state the risks of this investment.
Among the banned ads were ads promoted by a network of pizza restaurants, as well as Facebook ads posted for a large exchange of coding money.
ASA says it hopes to present a new guideline on cryptocurrency advertising.
The seven ads were banned for “irresponsible use of customer inexperience as well as failure to explain investment risk”.
