Sri Lanka Freedom Party MP Shantha Bandara has been removed from all positions he holds in the party, its National Organiser MP Duminda Dissanayake has said.
The SLFP is currently functioning as independent MPs in Parliament.
Contrary to the party position, Shantha Bandara was sworn in as the State Minister of Promoting the Production & Regulating the Supply of Organic Fertiliser, and Paddy and Grains, Organic Foods, Vegetables, Fruits, Chilies, Onion and Potato Cultivation Promoting, Seed Production and Advanced Technology Agriculture before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Earlier, Senior Vice Chairman of the SLFP – Rohana Luxman Piyadasa has also said that disciplinary action will be taken against Shatha Bandara and party Chairman former President Maithripala Sirisena will also take action.
