The first in a series of rallies of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) to be held throughout the country will be held today (09) at 2.00 pm at the Salgadu Stadium in Anuradhapura.
This ‘public rally’ will be held held with the participation of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and other leaders of the SLPP.
Although the aim is to educate the public about the development activities in the country, residents in the area say that the rally will disrupt more than 3,000 students sitting for the GCE Advanced Level examination.
It is said that there are 7 examination centers around the Salgadu Stadium in Anuradhapura.
Also, according to the examination schedule, the examination is scheduled to end today at 3.00 pm and this rally will commence at 2.00 pm.
