Sri Lanka confirms 31 Covid-19 deaths on Friday, toll rises to 3,733

July 17, Colombo: Sri Lanka Saturday reported that 31 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred on Friday, July 16, 2021.
The Director General of Health Services has confirmed that 31 deaths occurred on Friday, July 16 due to the COVID-19.
Among the Friday’s deaths 17 are of males and 14 of females. The majority of the deaths numbering 23 are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group.
According to the data reported by the Government Information Department, the total deaths due to Covid-19 since the pandemic began last March has now risen to 3,733 including the deaths confirmed Thursday.
