Sri Lanka confirms 45 Covid-19 deaths occurred on Saturday, toll rises to 4,099

July 25, Colombo: Sri Lanka Sunday reported that 45 deaths due to COVID-19 occurred on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
The Director General of Health Services has confirmed that 45 deaths occurred on Saturday, July 24 due to the COVID-19.
Among the Saturday’s deaths, 23 are of males and 22 of females. The majority of the deaths numbering 37 are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group.
According to the data reported by the Government Information Department, the total deaths due to Covid-19 since the pandemic began last March has now risen to 4,099 including the deaths confirmed Saturday.
