Sri Lanka lost to South Africa by 4 wickets in the T20 Cricket World Cup match played today (30).
Despite the Sri Lankans’ hopes of winning the match until the very last over, South Africa scored the 15-run target they needed in the final over to seal the victory in the first four balls of Lahiru Kumar’s final over.
David Miller hit two sixes off Lahiru’s first two balls and then Kagiso Rabada hit the winning four off the fifth ball.
Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets in the match between South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, in the 14.6th ball he dismissed A. Macrame, in the 17.1st ball he got Temba Bauma’s wicket and in the 17.2nd over he dismissed Dwayne Prestorius.
