Sri Lanka Police seek public assistance to identify a drug trafficker

Sept 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka Police have sought the assistance of the general public to apprehend a suspected drug trafficker identified as Chaminda Thabrew alias ‘Bob Marley’.
The suspect, a resident of Malabe and Battaramulla areas, has been identified as the person who allegedly headed the trafficking operation involving over 290 kg of heroin which was seized by the Sri Lanka Navy and Police Narcotic Bureau in a joint operation on August 31 in the high seas off the coast of Beruwela.
The suspect is currently evading the police and the police are requesting the public to provide information to arrest him.
