Sri Lanka reaches 4th wave of COVID-19
Sri Lanka has reached the beginning of the 4th wave of the COVID-19 virus, said Dr. Padma Gunarathna, President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association.
She pointed out that despite the travel restrictions, the number of positive cases have not declined.
She explained that this was caused by certain shortcomings in imposing the travel restrictions.
Besides, the Delta variant too is fast spreading in the country and the situation would further worsen if the people fail to act in a responsible manner, she said.
