SriLankan Airlines summoned to COPE again

Oct 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s national carrier, SriLankan Airlines has been summoned to the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on October 07, said its Chairman, Prof. Charitha Herath.
The Committee is scheduled to discuss the issues related to the report sent to the Committee by the State Ministry of Aviation and Export Zone Development regarding the investigations carried out when SriLankan Airlines Ltd. was summoned before the COPE Committee on July 07.
A special meeting of the committee members will be held on the 5th of this month regarding the SriLankan Airlines, the Chairman added.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board is scheduled to appear before the COPE Committee on the 6th.
The Chairman further said that the COPE Committee meetings are scheduled to be held next week with the required officials being contacted through the online system in compliance with the health regulations.
