With another 41 deaths confirmed for yesterday (12) by authorities today, Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 related death toll increases to 3,574.
Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena confirmed today (13) that 23 males and 18 females were amongst the deceased.
A total of 12 victims have been identified as persons aged between 30- 59, whilst 28 were aged above 60 years. One male was below 30 years of age.
Meanwhile, 1,328 individuals were discharged during the past 24 hours upon full recovery.
Accordingly, total recoveries in Sri Lanka increases to 247,569.
A total of 24,963 individuals are currently being treated for the coronavirus.
