Sri Lankan all rounder Wanindu Hasaranga joined Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 10.75 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru.
This is the highest value bid for a foreign player at this auction. There was fierce competition between the Bangalore team and the Punjab team for the purchase of Wanindu.
Wanindu played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in last year’s Indian Premier League.
