Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says it is difficult to implement certain measures taken by wealthy countries to curb the COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister was responding to a query made with regard to various parties calling for a lockdown to curb COVID-19.
The Prime Minister has pointed out that although government workers receive a monthly salary, no one raises their voice over the plight of hundreds of thousands, that are daily wage earners.
He has emphasised that following health guidelines by the public would be a strong backing to curb COVID-19.
